2021 Ford F-250 Rumors, Specs, Redesign, and Price. The forthcoming 2021 Ford F-250 will introduce numerous upgrades. The new pickup will get a hybrid powertrain, which is the most significant change. A hybrid version will arrive at the same time as the regular gasoline variant.
F-250 will get a couple of visual upgrades and numerous interior updates. Inside the cabin, F-250 will mostly get new tech. Under the hood, the engine lineup will largely remain. This pickup truck offers both gasoline and diesel engines.
2021 Ford F-250 Engine and Towing Rate
The arriving model will get a hybrid powertrain. We’ll get to that later. The rest of the engine lineup will remain. That means a 7.0-liter V8 is available once again. This gasoline unit recently replaced an aging 6.2-liter V8. It delivers 385 horses and 430 lb-ft of torque. A 10-speed automatic gearbox is offered and fuel economy is above average for the heavy-duty segment. Reliable 6.7-liter V8 is optional. This turbodiesel powertrain generates 450 hp and up to 935 lb-ft of torque.
Thanks to such a great torque figure, the 2012 Ford F-250 can tow around 33,000 pounds. A hybrid version is finally available. In cooperation with the Boston-based company “XL Hybrids”, Ford is greener for another hybrid. Both F-150 and F-250 models will get this type of drivetrain. We are still waiting for the exact engine specs. Surely, hybrid version is the most significant upgrade for 2021. XL Hybrids promises around 25 percent better fuel efficiency. It will be interesting to see official details.
2021 Ford F-250 Exterior Upgrades
New 2021 Ford F-250 has been caught on the cameras. Spy shots are available and we can see the latest exterior upgrades. The new shape of the badge is similar to the Ram’s, which is both odd and interesting. The front grille looks bolder and at the back, taillights are heavily revised.
F-250 will get further aluminum work so the new model will be lighter than its predecessor. On the other hand, a high-strength steel frame is intact. This will result in the same or even better-towing capacity and payload ability. Ford perfectly hides the rest of the visual changes. No doubt, Blue Oval manufacturer will surely deliver further exterior updates.
More Standard Features
Interior of the all-new 2021 Ford F-250 will gain some improvements for sure. On the other hand, most of the updates are technology-oriented. Interior layout will remain, along with the dashboard, instrument cluster, steering wheel, and gear shifter. Design is incredible and everything looks new and upscale.
Upper trim levels are offering more luxury. We like Ford’s two-tone leather seats and all-weather floor mats. This pickup truck will gain more safety aids, new infotainment system and new interface on the displays. F-250 will now get more standard equipment.
Price and Release Date
The price of the all-new 2021 Ford F-250 will now start at $36,000. On the other hand, the range-topping Platinum trim level will cost $70,000. A hybrid version will be priced at $41,000.
Ford will release its new super-duty model later next year, possibly around September. Ram, General Motors are also working on its hybrid variant. We can’t wait to see the battle of hybrid in the heavy-duty segment.
